The first rum ever distilled & marketed in the UK. A very English golden rum that was voted World's Best Rum in 2014 nothing imported here. They start by fermenting 100% pure sugar cane molasses as opposed to sugar cane syrup which is used to make most commercial rums. Using pure molasses is very tricky & less profitable but absolutely worth the effort for the richness & depth. They distil three times to grab the quintessential flavour of rum. No salt here: look for raisins cracked caramel Christmas cake vanilla & a touch of banoffee pie. Rich flavours from the molasses leaving the harsh bits in the still making it smooth enough for sipping. Matured in English oak casks. Best served neat; or try it with ginger beer ice & a chunk of lime. 42% ABV 50cl bottle.
